PRIVACY POLICY

Zivogift ("we", "us") operates zivogift.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

What we collect

• Buyer details: name, email address, phone number and account credentials.
• Recipient details: name, contact details, delivery address, and the occasion date or date of birth needed to source a matching currency note.
• Order and transaction records: items, add-ons, personalised messages, order history, payment status and payment references.
• Content you upload for gift creation, such as photos, audio, video or text.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, logs, cookies and security events.

Payment credentials are collected and processed directly by our payment partner. We do not see or store your card, UPI or net-banking credentials.

How we use it

• To process, source, personalise, fulfil and deliver your order.
• To send order, delivery and service updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
• To operate accounts, saved addresses and order history.
• To respond to support, contact-form and campus-rep enquiries.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, secure the platform, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To send marketing communications only where consent or another lawful basis applies. You can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only the minimum data needed with the service providers that run Zivogift: Netlify (hosting and deployment), Supabase (database and account login), Cashfree (payments), Cloudflare R2 (media storage), MSG91 (SMS and OTP), Resend (transactional email), WhatsApp Cloud API (delivery and gift messaging), and Gemini (AI-assisted content generation for gift text you request). We also share delivery details with courier and logistics partners where a physical order requires it. We do not sell your personal data.

Recipient data and your responsibility

When you provide someone else's name, contact details or occasion date, you confirm you have a lawful basis to share it with us for the purpose of sending that gift. Please do not submit unlawful, misleading, infringing or unnecessarily sensitive content. We use recipient information only to fulfil the gift and send related delivery communications.

Retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably needed for fulfilment, support, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution and legal compliance, after which it is deleted or anonymised. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, unsubscribe from marketing, or raise a grievance. Update saved details from your account page, or write to hello@zivogift.com. We may verify your identity before acting, and may retain records we are required to keep for accounting, tax, security or legal reasons.

Cookies and local storage

We use minimal browser local storage to remember your cart between pages, plus necessary and limited analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Third-party sites we link to have their own privacy practices.

Children

Zivogift is not intended for independent use by children. Where a gift involves a child, the order should be placed by a parent or lawful guardian, who provides any consent required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
